We are dedicated to eliminating conditions that lead to personal injury or occupational illness. We believe that all injuries and occupational illnesses are preventable, and that a workplace with zero incidents is not only possible, it is our standard.

Safety Principles

  1. Making safety-driven decisions and encouraging behaviors that protect everyone from harm.
  2. Using formal problem-solving methods to identify, reduce, and eliminate risk.
  3. Continuous improvement of safety practices and performance.
  4. Staying attentive, alert, and aware of our surroundings at all times.
  5. Promoting open communication, responsibility, and proactive action at every level.

Through these values and principles, we maintain a strong culture of safety, continue to uphold our record of zero workplace injuries and prevent illnesses. Safety is not just how we work, it’s who we are.

Safety Expectations

  • Hazardous Energy Control/ Lockout: We follow established energy control and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when performing servicing and maintenance on equipment or systems. This ensures that hazardous energy sources are properly isolated to prevent accidental startup or release of stored energy.
  • Machine Safeguarding & Operation: We ensure that all machine safeguards are in place and function properly, they are consistently used during equipment operation, and that all related safety procedures are strictly followed.
  • Work Permits & Specialized Safety Procedures: We obtain properly authorized work permits when required and strictly follow all specialized safety procedures for high-risk activities such as hot work, confined space entry, work on energized electrical equipment, elevated work, and similar tasks. Only trained and authorized personnel are permitted to perform these activities.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: We comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements specific to our job tasks and work areas. Standard PPE issued to all technicians including: hard hat, certified safety boots, reflective safety vest, safety glasses, class (00) linemen gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Safe Driving: We minimize distractions while driving on company business by using only hands-free communication systems. Seat belts are always worn by the driver and all occupants. We never operate a vehicle while impaired by alcohol, drugs, or any other substance.
  • Incident & Event Reporting: We report all unsafe conditions, as well as any injuries or illnesses (no matter how minor). To ensure proper medical evaluation and to support continuous improvement of our safety processes.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility. By following these expectations, we protect ourselves, our coworkers, and the success of our operations.

Zero Tolerance Polices

  1. Safety Devices & Machine Guards: Safety devices and guards installed to ensure safe machine operation must never be removed, bypassed, or tampered with.
  2. Lockout/ Tagout: LOTO must be always followed when servicing or maintaining equipment to prevent unexpected energization or release of hazardous energy.
  3. Electrical Work/ Arc Flash Protection: When performing electrical work or when there is potential for arc flash, appropriate PPE must be worn in accordance with applicable safety standards.
  4. Fall Protection: Fall-arrest systems are required when working at unprotected heights of 6 feet (1.82 meters) or more.
  5. Permit-Required Confined Spaces: No one may enter a permit-required confined space without an approved entry permit and adherence to all confined space entry procedures.
